OSO FAMILY PHOTO SESSION

It’s been about ten years now that I’ve had the honour of photographing the Ono family and it’s become one of those beautiful constants in my life.

Every time I’m back on my old stomping grounds in Winlaw, we carve out time to make some new portraits and to have dinner. It’s turned into a little ritual I truly look forward to.

This visit, the focus was on capturing Tyla in the kimono her grandparents had sent from Japan, a gift full of meaning and connection. Just one more reminder of the depth and beauty in this family.

Takao, Aya, Chiyo, Tyla, Lyoh, and Michi, it’s always a joy. We’ve shared a bond over farming, land, and family for years now, and I’m grateful to keep telling little parts of your story through these images.

Until next time.
