Common Questions & Things To know
-
Each plate takes roughly 10 minutes for framing shot, to developing exposure
-
For natural light portraits, its idea to have a space that is out of direct sun, but no to dark, though there are ways to still get good results in all lighting situations.
For th photobooth i need a 10x10 space, and a power outlet that is on its own circuit.
For darkroom needs, it’s ideal if I have a space that can be converted into a darkroom, not much room is needed, a walk in close sized space can work. that has no natural light, or that can have windows covered up. If not available, I have a dark room tent I brig with me and can set up anywhere that is in the shade.
-
The full process after the photos are exposed can take a few days (plates ned to be rinsed, scanned and vanishes) Links to scans are set one week after the wedding, and plates are all mailed out to newleyweds within 2 weeks. It’s up to the couple to get images to all family & guests.
-
You will receive both the physical plate, as well as a hight resolution scan that can be shared online, or be used for making prints.
-
When working with natural light, the exposure time can be between 1 to 4 seconds, so It can be hard to get young children and animals to be crisp in the images, But if we are seeing up our lights for the Photo Booth, this gives us a very fast exposure time that is perfectfo capturing our moving lil people and animals.
-
With the nature of the medium & chemistry, results can have a wide range of unique artifacts that bring part of the charm to the image, while sometimes we will end up with flawless plates, sometimes we will end up with unique artifacts on the images. Note that we will always have the option for a digital to Tinype print if a more perfect plate is wanted.
