At Silver & Tin, we create unforgettable experiences with handcrafted tintype photography. Our pop-up events offer communities the chance to experience a rare and timeless art form, where each tintype portrait becomes a tangible, lasting heirloom.
We host these unique events year-round, but we’re especially excited to share that we’re currently embarking on a pop-up tour from Washington State to the tip of California. This tour will bring the magic of tintype photography to new communities along the West Coast, and we’re actively seeking community supporters and venue partners to help make it happen.

Do you love art, storytelling, and bringing unique experiences to your community? As a community supporter, you play a key role in helping us set up successful pop-up events in your town.
We’re looking for support with….

Help us identify cafes, breweries, boutiques, wineries, farms, galleries, and community spaces that would be great hosts.

Spread the word through your networks, share posters, and engage with local social media groups.

Assist in connecting us with newspapers, radio stations, and other media outlets to help promote the pop-up.

Help us connect with groups who may be able to amplify the event within the local arts and cultural scene

As a traveling family (Syd, Taryn and our todler Flynn, we often need help finding a place to stay during our time in your community. If you or someone you know would be open to hosting us in trade for a tintype portrait, we’d love to connect. Alternatively, we are open to short-term rental options. Our Stays can be between 1 to 3 days

Hosting one of our pop-up events is an opportunity to create something special at your venue. Tintype photography offers a rare and meaningful experience that draws people in, supports community connection, and brings something truly unique to your space.
What We’re Looking For:

We love working with venues that align with our aesthetic and values, including:

• Galleries and community halls

Venues with an engaged social media following are ideal partners, as promotion is vital to the success of our events. To support strong attendance, we look for venues that:
• Share frequent social media posts leading up to the event.
• Collaborate with us to run giveaways (e.g., a free tintype portrait) to generate excitement and engagement.

We provide all marketing materials (graphics, posters, copy), and we ask venues to actively share and engage with their audiences through:
• Social media posts and stories
• Newsletters
• Posters or flyers at the venue

Our process requires specific spaces for both the darkroom and photography:
• Darkroom Space:
A small, enclosed space (as small as a walk-in closet) that can be used as a darkroom.
If the space has a window, it can be covered to block out light.
If need be, we will always have our dark room tent with us that we can set up.
• An indoor/covered studio space (approximately 7ft x 7ft) for setting up our strobe lights and shooting portraits.
• An outdoor space for larger group shots or natural light sessions.

We’re flexible and open to:
• Trade Collaborations: In many cases, we work in exchange for tintype portraits or photographic services.
• Rental Agreements: If trade isn’t the best fit, we are happy to discuss rental fees for your space.

• Attract New Visitors: Our pop-ups bring people together and create excitement around your venue.
• Offer a Unique Experience: Tintype portraits are a rare opportunity for your customers to take home a tangible, lasting memory.
• Generate Buzz: Social media promotion, giveaways, and event buzz help spotlight your venue.

People can choose to pre-book your session or simply drop in during the event. Either way, we strive to make your experience seamless and unforgettable.

1. Pre-Book Online
• Secure their spot in advance by booking directly through our website.
• Pre-booking is recommended for those who want to guarantee a specific time slot or are traveling to see us.
2. Drop-In at the Venue
• We also welcome walk-ins at the venue.
• Pop-ups Ideally take place in community spaces where the general public is invited to watch and enjoy the process, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

We offer a range of tintype sizes and discounts for sets:
• 5x6 Tintype: $125
• 8x10 Tintype: $200
• Sets of 3 Tintypes: Discounted pricing available—perfect for capturing multiple poses or family shots!
